There is a new version of the HP-Velotechnik Gekko trike. In contrast to the Gekko fx it is not foldable but separable. If you want to have a look at Germany’s leading recumbent manufacturer’s headquarter – here is your chance. HP-Velotechnik will have an Open-Day on 6th of August 2011. A lot of recumbent riders are fans of foldable kayaks. So are the guys at HP-Velotechnik. So it was no wonder that they approached the German Klepper Faltbootwerft AG when they thought about their latest project. For quite some time I have wanted to make an interview with the bosses of HP Velotechnik. Generally, they are willing to do this and I sent my question a while ago. Nowever, those two guys are working hard in their firm, so yet they could not answer my questions. Now Paul hollants asked me [...] The Special Bikes Show, or Spezi (abbreviation for the German word Spezialradmesse), is the biggest and most important fair for the European recumbent scene. What started as an idea of a bike shop owner in Germersheim 15 years ago, now attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over the world. This years exhibitor with the [...] It took only hours after Arnold Ligtvoet, the head of Raptobike had tweeted a link to his facebook-site where he had posted a picture of a new trike he devoloped on the basis of his single tracked recumbents until the message spread over the recumbent-related internet, like ligfiets.net. Psst… there is something new coming from HP-Velotechnik. See video after the break… Hase is going to present a new E-trike on basis of their Kettwiesel. The KLIMAX 2K will cost around 5600 Euro and will be shown on the EuroBike 2010 (see Press Release, currently only in German). I personally feel that e-bikes go beyond the subject of BentBlog.de, therefore Idid not report much about them [...] Icletta’s ICE-Sprint, a versatile, sporty, foldable trike which is available with and without suspension became finalist in the BranNew Award 2010, category Urban/Design. This Award is granted by the Bike-Expo fair in Munich. Congratulations to Kirk Seifert, the head of Icletta, who is importing the ICE-trikes for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
