German manufacturer HP Velotechnik sent a press information regarding their open house day 2010. Apart from offering a view into their production and test rides, they also hired Tilmann Waldthaler and Lars Reisberg for talks. See the press release for more information:
Open day of recumbent bike manufacturer HP Velotechnik with talks by bike nomad Tilmann Waldthaler and Lars Reisberg.
On Saturday 31.07.2010 bike manufacturer HP Velotechnik opens his doors and welcoms interested visitors for an open house in their factory in Kriftel close to Frankfurt am Main.
From 11 to 18 a glimps into development and assemblage of modern recumbent bikes and touring trikes will be given. Test rides on the factory ground are offered on a variety of test vehicles.
Journalist and bike nomad Tilmann Waldthaler and adventure voyager Lars Reisberg will report in slide show talks on their impressions during extreme tours with travel recumbents.

After 430.000 km on bikes and numerous books published, Tilmann Waldthaler belongs to the most famous travellers. In 207 he got to know the riding comfort of a HP Velotechniks Dreirad “Scorpion” during 3600km tour. During his current tour from the North Cape to New Zealand, Tilmann Waldthaler will ride through Germany in Juli of 2010 with his fully suspended and foldable “Scorpion fs” and makes a stop at HP Velotechnik’s open day.
Lars Reisberg travelled with his HP Velotechnik “Speedmachine”, a fast low-rider, in Portugal, Sweden, Canada and Japan. In Kriftel he will report on his adventures with his recumbent.
