This is the fourth post in the series of articles on what will be seen on this year’s Spezi in Germersheim
Altena-Bike will bring a back-to-back-tandem, called “Janus”. It can be separated and is equipped with two i-Motion 9-gear hubs (which Anton Wiegers writes, is “sufficient for Holland). Further they bring the children’s recumbent Estrellita, now with an option for a triple-crank-set (again he mentions that 7 gears are sufficient for Holland;-)), and his redesigned “normal” recumbent tandem, the “Double Dutch”.
Flevobike will present its GreenMachine as it is currently produced an available at the dealers. Additionally, they show a new self-developed Monofork. Test rides with a number of different versions of the GreenMachine will be possible. Unfortunately, Flevobike did not write anything about the development of the Versatile.
MCSbikes.com from Austria will, beneath their transport upright bike “Maderna Truck” and the transport recumbent “Maderna Cruiser” (which looks a bit like a Bevobike to me), present the new “Maderna Cityscooter” their redesigned 18″ upright foldable compact bike. See the photos from “MADERNA cycle systems – www.maderna.at”
Andreas Schlinke the distributor for KASK cycling helmets and BIOTEX high performance underwear will bring new helmets and sports underwear, which, claims Mr. Schlinke, does not smell so much as concurrent products.
Flux has developed evolutionary stages of their models S600 (above seat steering) and S800 (under seat stearing) which are called S650 and S850 respectively. These new models are equipped as “Fat-Tire / Disc-only”-bikes. SCHWALBE’s BigApple LiteSkin tyres 55-406 are mounted and a special rigid CrMo-front fork was produced for these models which is used instead of the Spinner-suspension forks. A basic complete-bike of the S650 will be 2280 Euro, the S850 will cost 100 Euro more, both equippted with a 27 gears. Unfotunately, no photos were available yet.
