Spiegel.de is one of the bigger news-sites in Germany. Today they published an article about velomobiles by Holger Dambeck. The article is written in German but the google translation is not too bad. It is interesting to see that recumbent cycling and also velomobiles find their way into mass media now. The author did quite a good job, I think. First he explains that cycling recumbently is a bright idea because of the lower wind resistance and that fairings make this advantage even more pronounced. Then M. Dambeck reports on the world records set by Damjan Zabovnik and Sam Whittingham. Finally the article turns to more standard-velomobiles and presents Go-One and different kinds of Alleweders. A nice article which can be used to explain your addiction to recumbents towards family or friends with a nice gallery of pictures as well.
