Mail notification did not work

If you tried to notify me via the contact-page, please send the message again. The mail notification did not work.
I realised that I was neither notified on comments nor on new registrations. I do not know why this happened but a plugin from Callum MacDonald which changes mail delivery from a php-function to smtp helped. Thank you Callum!
